Strahinja Jovanović is currently a student of graphic design at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Slovenia, Ljubljana. Born in Serbia in 1999, he finished elementary school and high school in Kruševac. He also went to “Hartija”, private school of Arts in Kruševac, where he studied painting. Learning Art and Design from young age has taught him a lot about visual thinking, but that was not his only passion. His interest in mathematics and physics has moved him to study natural sciences in High School, which as he says “helped him in developing his design and learning how to incorporate different subjects in domain of visual world”.

Fussil Design
When a computational experiment began in a small design studio in Ljubljana, no one could have known that the relationship between nature and design was about to be reimagined. Over the next several years, Fussil would evolve from a master's thesis into a generative design system, launching explorations across ceramics, textiles, and digital fabrication, creating forms that blur the boundary between the organic and the algorithmic. Since its inception, Strahinja Jovanović has been the steward of Fussil's development, from the cellular automata that power its logic to the 3D-printed vases and knitted textiles that bring its forms into the world. With each iteration, the project meets the challenge of acknowledging nature's embedded intelligence while keeping design fresh, adaptive, and symbiotic. Fussil proposes a future where human creativity and nature coalesce—driving a new era of design that is ever-evolving.

The City of Zagreb
When the first official coat of arms appeared on the gates of Gradec in 1492, no one could have known that the visual language of Zagreb was about to become a symbol of resilience and identity for centuries to come. Over the next five hundred years, the city would evolve from a medieval settlement into the vibrant capital of Croatia, its visual identity shaped by generations of artists, architects, and citizens. From the iconic red-and-white checkerboard to the modernist marks of the 20th century, each iteration has met the challenge of representing a city that is both ancient and contemporary. The visual identity of Zagreb is more than a logo—it is a living system, a framework that acknowledges the extraordinary legacy of the past while keeping the city's image fresh, welcoming, and unmistakably Zagreb. With each new application, the identity continues to evolve, reflecting a capital that honors its history while embracing the future.

Awarded work
Infinity: The Beginning, Microgreens Calendar, and Manifest of Algorithism have each received international recognition for their exploration of nature, time, and algorithms. Infinity was awarded for its fractal animation exploring the sublime through infinite movement. Microgreens Calendar was recognized for reimagining the calendar as a living, cyclical garden that grows with its user. Manifest of Algorithism received a Graphis Silver Award for its sculptural meditation on the emergence of meta-sapiens in an age of algorithms. Together, these projects represent a body of work that bridges art, science, and design—honored for their originality, their craft, and their contribution to contemporary visual culture.

Mooresque
Mooresque is a modular design system inspired by 15th-century Moresque ornaments, developed by Strahinja Jovanović as a contemporary toolkit for typography, pattern, and digital fabrication. The collection includes Alfa Moore, Exo Moore, and ExoAlf Moore—three families of modular elements that can be combined to create unique letters, structures, and ornamental forms. The project has been exhibited in New York and Paris, and has expanded into a 3D NFT collection of type characters inhabiting digital environments. Mooresque reimagines historical ornament as a flexible, generative system, bridging the decorative traditions of the past with the computational tools of the present. The collection offers designers a new language for building form—one element at a time.
